Laser Guided Micro-tunnelling (375mm dia. to 1000mm dia.)
1. Underground services to be accurately located. (Telecommunications & Water )

2.The laser guided vacuum borer head has fully articulated, positive steering. Tunnel Boring Australia operates steerable boring heads suitable for nearly all ground conditions, from soft clay and sand, up to 200MPa rock.

3. Portable, silenced power-pack provides hydraulic power from surface without fumes in working pit.

4. Operator ensures accuracy with 4-way steering control of vacuum head and CCTV laser guidance system.

5. Heavy rail tracks.

6. The laser beam provides constant survey control. It is mounted securely and regularly checked by a surveyor.

Tunnel Boring Australia can excavate and shore working pits and shafts, or operate in pits constructed by others. Working pit dimensions for laser guided thrust boring are approximately 9m long x 2m wide, with pit floor approximately 300mm below invert level of the steel casing. Detailed information for pit dimensions and shoring requirements is available upon request.

Tunnel Boring Australia has a number of vacuum spoil extraction systems: A 200HP dustless, silenced vacuum system for on-site dumping, a purpose built vacuum truck, and a trailer mounted unit for small projects.
